Dry Verge Installers Stepaside
Dry verge installation sorts out the gable end of your tiled roof properly — permanently weather-tight, no mortar that’ll crack on you, nothing to keep an eye on, and no bits falling down into the garden come winter. We fit dry verge systems right across Stepaside, whether it’s a retrofit job, a full re-roof or a new build you’re working on.
Dry verge systems give you brilliant long term performance with zero maintenance needed, and they’ll really improve how your roof looks structurally in Stepaside.
Alongside dry verge systems, we provide a full range of roofline services, including new soffit and fascia installations, guttering work and plenty more besides.
Two installation scenarios
Retrofit over failing mortar. This is what we do most often. We take out the cracked or loose mortar from your existing wet verge, give the tiles a good clean, then mechanically fix tile-matched dry verge caps right along the full gable. Most domestic properties are done and dusted in a day.
New build or re-roof. We fit these as standard when you’re getting a new roof, before everything else gets closed up. Much quicker than working with mortar, and it means you get a longer manufacturer warranty on the verge as a homeowner.
What is included
- Survey and tile matching — caps that suit your specific roof tile profile and colour perfectly
- Taking out the failing mortar (on retrofit jobs)
- Mechanical fixing to the roof batten — stays secure whatever the weather throws at it
- Ridge end caps where you need them, giving you a fully sealed gable peak
- 10+ year manufacturer guarantee on the whole system
Colours and tile compatibility
We keep black, brown, grey and terracotta in stock. They work with virtually every concrete and clay tile you’ll commonly see in Ireland — Marley, Redland, Sandtoft and all the similar profiles.

Excellent job done on entire house. Soffits and guttering. Would highly recommend. Very clean. No mess left behind.
John and the JP team were so professional, so nice and really did excellent work. Very impressed with the clean, thorough job they did. They are all so particular and kept saying "it's got to be done right" and keeping us updated on what was being done at each stage. Would highly recommend and have them back again.
I would like to thank John, Peter and Mark for their excellent work. They installed new gutters, fascia and soffits with great expertise. They were punctual and the quality of work was superb. They were extremely courteous and helpful, discussing any issues as they found them. The level of workmanship was exceptional. They cleaned up and took away all the old materials with them. The professionalism shown by this company was top class and I would highly recommend them for this type of work.
Great service from JP Guttering. Easy to deal with, will give you a clear and honest evaluation of the work to be done, and then provide a high quality and timely service. Highly recommend.
Really pleased with the work from JP Guttering. The team were friendly, professional and easy to deal with throughout. The job was completed to a very good standard, everything was left clean and tidy afterwards, and the new fascia and guttering look great. Would happily recommend JP Guttering to anyone looking to get similar work done.
JP Guttering highly recommended. I needed all gutters replaced at the back of my house. I was recommended to call John. He was very good to deal with, he clearly explained what needed to be done. He came when he promised and the team did a really good job for a fair price. I called him recently about a job I needed done for me and my neighbour. He came this morning and fixed the issue. Again very high standard of customer care.
Contacted John on Thursday to replace sagging back gutter… job completed to a high standard on Saturday. Very easy to deal with, punctual, professional and took the time to explain everything in detail. The guys also fixed a few minor problems with other gutters at no extra cost.
I can highly recommend John and his team.
Many thanks.
John and Peter were great to deal with from start to finish and I would have no hesitation recommending JP Guttering as I was really impressed with their work (new gutters, upvc fascia and soffit), efficiency and value for money.
Highly recommend. Great work John Peter and team. New gutters fascia soffits drain pipes and some new roof felt. Happy with service and knowledge and high quality work
I was in need of urgent repair as I had rain water running down the front of my house. John managed to squeeze me and his team showed up exactly when he said they would (not many companies are that dependable). They quickly identified the issue and committed to getting the materials and fixing my problem before it worsened. Thanks to John and team, very impressive service. I can see why there are so many positive reviews.
